Team Gilmore Restores Chinatown
December 01, 2016
Early Wednesday morning a water main break at the intersection of Beach and Washington Streets flooded Boston’s Chinatown. ServiceMaster by Gilmore emergency services teams were dispatched to pump out water, sanitize and disinfect and begin cleanup efforts.
Crews worked through the night to extract water and begin the dry down process for 8 local businesses. As the clean-up began, electrical fires ignited causing power outages and flames in several manholes. Businesses were forced to close as water flooded in and smoke billowed out into the streets. Water lines were shut off for local residences and streets from Kneeland to Lincoln were closed off. As of Thursday morning the roads have still not reopened. Check out our crew chiefs, Manny and Elvin on Fox25 and WCVB 5 on ABC.
